Thai Language Chatbot for Elementary School Students in Grades 4 to 6
Abstract
This research presents the development of a Thai-language chatbot as a learning support tool for students in grades 4 to 6 of primary education. The chatbot was designed to emphasize interactive communication, aiming to enhance reading, writing, and correct grammar usage. It operates through the LINE Official Account (LINE OA), with learning content delivered via Google Slides and learning outcomes assessed through Google Forms. The collected data was analyzed following a trial with 69 students, alongside a satisfaction survey focusing on content, usability, response speed, design, and the overall usefulness of the application. The study found that the chatbot effectively supported Thai language learning at the primary level and received positive feedback from Thai language teachers, who viewed it as a valuable tool to support classroom instruction. This research highlights the potential of digital technology in developing educational tools that inspire a love of learning, foster self-directed study habits in early childhood, and promote perseverance and effective time management skills.
