The objectives of this research were to (1) develop a project-based learning approach to enhance the life skills competencies of among Grade 2 students, ensuring the quality met established criteria; (2) examine the outcomes of the project-based learning; and (3) assess the level of student satisfaction with the project-based learning regarding the unit on beverage preparation, assembly, decoration, and service for students in the second year of secondary school This study was an experimental research project employing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 15 among Grade 2 students from Krasang Pittayakhom School—located in Krasang Subdistrict, Krasang District, Buriram Province, under the jurisdiction of the Buriram Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2—who were enrolled during the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The participants were selected through simple random sampling using a lottery method. The research instruments consisted of (1) project-based learning plans, (2) an academic achievement test, (3) a project assessment form, and (4) a satisfaction assessment form. The statistics used for data analysis included the mean, standard deviation, dependent sample t-test, and one-sample t-test.
The study results revealed that (1) the post-learning academic achievement of among Grade 2 students using project-based learning—specifically for the unit on beverage preparation, assembly, garnishing, and service—was higher than their pre-learning achievement, consistent with the established hypothesis; and (2) the post-learning academic achievement of among Grade 2 students using this project-based learning approach demonstrated an efficiency level of 77.56% (x̄ = 23.27) exceeding the established 75% criterion. (3) Regarding the project-based learning unit on "Beverage Preparation, Assembly, Decoration, and Service," among Grade 2 students reported an overall satisfaction level of "highest" (x̄ = 4.52).
