This study evaluated the effectiveness of Solarguard, a solar panel cleaning product for photovoltaic systems. The product removes dirt, water stains, mineral deposits, bird droppings, and persistent stains without damaging panel surfaces, protective coatings, or other components. A quasi-experimental design compared conventional cleaning with Solarguard cleaning. The sample comprised 30 convenience store branches with photovoltaic systems selected through purposive sampling. Electricity generation data before and after cleaning were collected from inverter monitoring systems and analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and paired-samples t-test. The findings showed that both cleaning methods increased electricity generation after cleaning. The average energy yield after conventional cleaning was 18.67 kWh, while that after Solarguard cleaning was 19.80 kWh. The mean difference of the conventional method was 4.36 kWh, whereas that of the Solarguard method was 5.49 kWh. The Paired Sample t-test indicated that the Solarguard method produced a significantly higher improvement in electricity generation than the conventional method at the .05 level (t = 9.93, p < .001). The findings suggest that Solarguard is effective for cleaning solar panels under real field conditions and can support the development of standard operating procedures for photovoltaic system maintenance.
