Abstract

This project, entitled “Online Rental Booking System: A Case Study of Uncle Nikom’s Rental Rooms,” aims to develop an information system that facilitates room booking and improves the efficiency of rental management. Previously, the rental business relied on manual record-keeping and telephone communication, which caused delays, data inaccuracies, and difficulty in checking room availability. The system was developed based on the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the Waterfall Model, which includes system analysis, design, development, and testing. The website was developed using WordPress as the main platform, integrated with a MySQL database and XAMPP for server simulation. The developed system is capable of displaying room information, room types, and availability status. It also supports online booking, payment notification, and report generation for booking and revenue management. The results show that the online rental booking system helps reduce operational steps, increases convenience for users in searching and booking rooms, and enables the owner to manage data more systematically, accurately, and efficiently. Furthermore, it enhances the business image by making it more modern and accessible to a wider range of customers through online channels.
